Being the home of online Blackjack, DraftKings Casino decided to pair classic Blackjack with elements of the classic game of chance:  Bingo.  Bingo Blackjack uses the element of chance associated with Bingo to give players a chance at bigger bingo payouts with each hand due to the bingo activator side bet automatically applied to each bet made.  So how does one achieve this bingo payout?  By reaching the bingo target hand value given to players at the start of each hand so you know what number you should be aiming for to get that bingo.  Outside of that, expect your classic blackjack game to apply here. If you need a refresher on blackjack, please refer to our How to Play Blackjack article to help you get started in hitting your first Bingo Blackjack.

Bingo Activator

As promised, each bet made in Bingo Blackjack will have an extra 20% of the main bet placed on the Bingo activator.  The Bingo Activator will trigger two bingo balls for each hand:  A win multiplier value and a target hand value.  Win with the target hand value and get paid the multiplier rate on your win.

The multiplier value will be the first ball popped out, signaling the ensuing payout you will receive if you achieve the target hand value AND win the hand. The possibilities for a Bingo multiplier are 2x, 5x, 10x, 25x, 50x, and 100x, meaning that you can potentially win up to 100 times your original bet on a single hand if you receive that 100x ball.

The next ball is the target hand value. This ball shows you what hand value you must end with to reach Bingo. These target values range from 12 to 21.  In the case that a 21 is the target value and the player makes blackjack, the multiplier value will be used to pay out the player as compared to the normal 3 to 2.  It's important to remember that once you surpass your target hand value, you can still win the hand like any other blackjack game, you just won’t necessarily be screaming bingo with excitement.

The Bingo Blueprint

Despite Bingo Blackjack gameplay being similar to traditional blackjack, the major payouts and target hand values combine to make this game’s strategy to be drastically different from the blackjack you are used to.  Of course, how you play Bingo Blackjack is up to you but you’ll quickly find out how many interesting decisions you have to make when playing.  Some hands may even give you the opportunity to split and hit more than one Bingo.  On the other hand, some hands might hit your target hand value but still end up losing the hand to the dealer.  This is why sometimes a low target hand value can be troublesome as it does not present the easiest opportunity to trump the dealer and hit bingo.
